OSBI investigates allegations of Open Records Act violation by elected official in Lawton

The Comanche County District Attorney’s Office has allegedly asked the OSBI to investigate claims of Open Records Violations in Lawton. We’ve always found it interesting when a DAs Office does this. From our experience, it’s only when they have something to gain politically that they do this. We know of many blatant and even intentional violations of both the ORA and the OMA that have occurred all over Oklahoma. Yet they are rarely prosecuted or even criminally investigated.
